How is it that we can feel so worthless, even if just fleetingly? Or, feel so fearful of being who we are that we hide ourselves away and pretend instead? How is it that most of us don’t know that not only are we enough as we are, but that we are our most joyful and powerful selves when we show up fully as who we are? We get locked in programming that deludes us into accepting disempowering beliefs as truth and it is not until we decide to truly know who we are outside of this programming that we see all of the ways we have been trained to deny our truth. I was able to interrupt this pattern of programming that I was locked in, of not allowing or honoring the worthwhile expression of me, by getting into my heart. What I mean by this is that I spent time using various seated practices to connect with my heart and in doing this connected to what is commonly referred to as the Seat of the Soul. When we become more aware of our hearts, we become more aware of the guidance that is available to us that comes from beyond our minds and can support us to evolve. Much like the training we receive from life in how to know ourselves through our intellect and ego, we can train ourselves to know the truth about who we are by accessing this knowledge through our heart. The intellect is deficient in both its knowledge of the truth about you and in its ability to support you in accessing this knowledge. So, today, I’d like to share with you why softening your heart will help you to start to access the truth about you on your own. I’ve included a 10 minuted guided meditation at the end of this article to get you started, taken from my 21-Day Guided Meditation Audio Program, also included in my founding members Substack Practice Membership.
